Our Inaugural Art Show...

Picture
Our inaugural educational art show on the subjects of early childhood abuse and Dissociative Identity Disorder was a true success. So many discussions were sparked by the art work and the quotes on the wall. The subject ranged from religious abuse, to early childhood sexual abuse and the effects of these types of abuse.

I am so thankful to the artists who participated in the art show: Cheyenne Carpenter, Wendy Scott Hill and Cassia Hendrickson. Thank you for sharing your stories in a transparent and unadulterated way. The effects of this art show are still being felt in various ways. From experience, I am convinced that the impact that we have when we share our heart openly, is much greater then what we can see in the moment. Please enjoy the pictures of the Kaladi Coffee 2011 art show below...

Lost Voices aims to be a creative hub for DID's. This is done by promoting and selling artwork, poetry, narratives and multi-media created by DID's. Our desire is to give DID's a platform to educate their communities through their unique artistic expression. Through this DID education, communities would become safe havens that aid in the healing process of those diagnosed with DID. A majority of all the funds gained through the artistic sales go directly to help provide resources and provide greater financial stability for DID creatives.
